5 October, Brest /Olga Kobyak - BELTA/. Pension increases in Belarus are being implemented on schedule. This was stated to journalists today by the Minister of Labour and Social Protection, Marianna Shchetkina, during a visit to the territorial centre for social services for the population of the Moskovsky district of Brest, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. "This issue should not concern our pensioners. A Presidential Decree has been adopted, the timelines for pension increases this year have been specified, and they are being met. The next and final pension increase in Belarus this year will be carried out from 1 November," the minister noted. Marianna Shchetkina could not yet specify the exact amount of the November pension increase. She explained that the pension increase is directly dependent on the extent of wage growth in the third quarter. This percentage will be known as soon as the statistical data is ready. Following this, recalculations will be made in accordance with the established legal procedure. All pensions will be paid on time within the set deadlines, the minister assured. This year, pensions in Belarus have been increased in February, May, and August.-0-
