A water deferrization station will be built in the settlement of Vysokoye, Orsha District, by the New Year. This was announced by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, during a direct phone line in response to an appeal from a local resident, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

Currently, the project for this facility is undergoing expert review, funds have been secured, and the standard construction period is three months. "Expect a New Year's gift. And tell the residents not to worry," Nikolai Sherstnev told the villager who inquired about providing high-quality drinking water to the settlement's residents.

The Governor also highlighted the need for systematic work in this locality. "The status of the settlement needs to be elevated by improving the overall material base, the housing sector, and everything else. Order must be established," he added.

During the direct line, several appeals were received from Orsha. For instance, a local pensioner raised the issue of the need for a paid car park. According to her, it used to exist, and people used its services, but then the car park was removed. Nikolai Sherstnev instructed to address this issue, which is relevant for the city, emphasizing that such a facility is necessary in every large settlement.

Another resident of Orsha prepared a comprehensive set of proposals for the improvement of her city. All initiatives will definitely be considered at the District Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev promised.
