The First National Channel of Belarusian Radio has announced the commencement of applications for the VII Republican Creative Radio Competition "Maladyya Talenty Belarusi" (Young Talents of Belarus), as reported to BELTA by the press service of Belteleradiocompany.
This year, the competition, which aims to identify young gifted performers in various genres of musical art, will run until April 30th across four nominations: "Pop Vocal (Soloists)", "Instrumental Music (Soloists)", "Instrumental Music (Duet, Trio, Quartet)", and "Heritage (Creative Exploration in Folklore)".
Young individuals aged 10 to 21, students of children's music schools, secondary vocational education institutions, as well as participants of music and pop studios, and students of higher education institutions, can test their abilities in this creative contest.
The radio competition "Maladyya Talenty Belarusi" consists of a preliminary stage and three rounds. The preliminary stage involves the formation and organisation of the jury's work, and the acceptance of applications (from March 1st to March 31st, 2018). The first round will feature listening to submitted materials (from April 1st to April 15th). The second round involves live auditions of participants who passed the first round, judged by a professional jury. Another live audition by a professional jury will take place for participants who have passed the second stage (the second and third rounds are held from April 16th to April 30th).
The final of the radio competition, along with the announcement and awarding of winners, will take place in May.

In previous years, laureates and prize-winners of the "Maladyya Talenty Belarusi" competition included Alyona Lanskaya, Yuri Demidovich, Roman Voloznev, Diana Gromova, Kirill Ermakov, Lidiya Zablotskaya, Nadezhda Misyakova, Alexander Minenok, Helena Meraai, and others.
