Materials published in print or broadcast by television or radio media, and posted on websites during 2018, are submitted for the competition.
The competition is held in the categories "Republican Print Media", "Regional Print Media", "Republican Electronic Media", and "Regional Electronic Media". In the first and second categories, works are submitted in the nominations: "Countrymen"; "Traditions and History of the Native Land"; "In the Year of the Small Motherland - Great Deeds"; "Small Motherland in Photographs". For electronic media, the nominations are "Countrymen"; "Traditions and History of the Native Land"; "In the Year of the Small Motherland - Great Deeds".
Materials marked "For the Competition" must be sent no later than January 15, 2019, to the Ministry of Information at the following address: 220004, Minsk, Pobediteley Ave., 11. The jury will determine the winners in each nomination. The laureates will be awarded diplomas of the Ministry of Information of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degrees. By decision of the jury, the most active participants in the competition may be awarded special diplomas, prizes, and other awards. The awarding of the winners will be organised in February next year.
The main goals of the competition are the implementation of state information policy objectives in the development of the country's regions; fostering respect for the small motherland, contributing to its development, showcasing outstanding achievements in preserving and reviving the native land; promoting the upbringing of patriotism and love for the Motherland among youth through the concept of "small motherland", and forming an active life position of the country's young generation.
