The cost of travel on public transport in the Vitebsk region will increase from April 6, a BELTA correspondent was informed by the transport and communications department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. The price of a single trip on urban passenger transport (bus, tram, trolleybus) on regular routes for Vitebsk residents will increase by Br200 to Br1300. The maximum fare for urban passenger transportation by express buses weighing over 5 tons is set at Br1850. Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs engaged in urban passenger transportation by buses with a permissible maximum weight of less than 5 tons on express regular routes will independently set tariffs for the specified transportation based on planned costs, taxes, other mandatory payments established by law, and profit, taking into account market conditions, calculated based on a profitability rate of no more than 15%. At the same time, it is expected that the cost of a single trip on a minibus will not exceed Br3 thousand. "This issue will be discussed today at a meeting with private carriers," the regional executive committee noted. The cost of a monthly travel pass for one type of transport (bus, tram, or trolleybus) for Vitebsk residents will now be Br52,200, for any two types of transport - Br69,650, for three types of transport (bus, tram, and trolleybus) - Br83,100.
