The centenary of the Belarusian Police almost coincided with the anniversary of the Lepel Police, which dates back to March 12, 1917. The Head of the Department of Internal Affairs, Lieutenant Colonel of Police Alexander Duranov, briefly outlined the milestones in the history of the department, congratulated the employees, veterans, and family members of police officers on the holiday, and wished everyone fruitful service, good health, peaceful skies, and tranquility.

When a person is in trouble, when an uninvited guest knocks on the door, when valuable items are lost, where do they turn? That's right, a desperate person calls the number 102.

Soon, the most pleasant ceremony began – the awarding of honours. Senior investigator of the criminal investigation department of the Department of Internal Affairs, Police Major Alexander Dudko, was awarded the medal "For Impeccable Service" of the III degree. The basis for awarding the officer was his service for a number of years, during which he received no reprimands, only commendations and incentives. He has a number of solved and prevented crimes to his credit. When a potential offender is strictly warned, they no longer have malicious thoughts.

A number of police officers were awarded the jubilee medals "100 Years of Belarusian Police", honorary diplomas and commendations from the Department of Internal Affairs, the Department of Internal Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee, the District Executive Committee, and monetary bonuses. Veterans, former police officers who dedicated many years of their lives to the noble cause of defending the law, were not forgotten either.

Guests of the celebration brought gifts. The district military commissar, Lieutenant Colonel Vasily Shapko, the head of the military sanatorium, Mikhail Lyakh, colleagues from other law enforcement agencies and services congratulated those present.

The cultural workers prepared an interesting concert. Song numbers alternated with humorous performances by the miniature theatre "Balagan", the dance ensembles "Caprice" and "Lileya", and other performers.
