The Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Aleksandr Subbotin, noted at the regional festival-fair "Dazhynki-2022" in Glubokoye:
"September 17 is a significant day in the history of our country. On this day in 1939, the reunification of the Western and Eastern parts of Belarus began. Thanks to the events of those years, our state ceased to be divided. The Day of National Unity, like "Dazhynki", holds a special place in our calendar. It has fallen to our generation to strengthen the independence of our Motherland. And it is strengthened by socio-economic stability. The well-being of the country's residents is created by the workers of the land.
In the current agricultural season, we have managed to achieve better results compared to previous years. The total weight of the Vitebsk region's harvest exceeded 1,100 thousand tons with an average yield of over 30 centners per hectare. Orsha and Vitebsk districts contributed a quarter of this.
"Dazhynki-2022" is a bright chapter in the history of Glubokoye district. Great transformations have taken place in the district centre and they will continue.
Traditionally, at the festival, the baton of next year's "Dazhynki" is passed on. Sharkovshchina will become the capital of "Dazhynki-2023".
We are all united by working the land for the sake of achievements and the well-being of everyone. Your successes are of great importance to our region. Happy holiday!"
