26 December, Vitebsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. The investment programme of Vitebsk for 2013 includes 47 facilities and is estimated at Br98 billion. Deputies of the City Council approved the investment programme at a session today, BELTA correspondent reports. The programme is designed to effectively and rationally use the city budget funds allocated for investment in fixed assets. It includes facilities for which design, construction, modernization and reconstruction will commence in 2013 using funds from the city budget and other sources of financing. Among these facilities is the construction of the Palace of Ceremonies. Unfortunately, in the regional centre, the city registry office, where solemn marriage registration takes place, is still cramped in an adapted room on the ground floor of a residential building. The programme also includes the reconstruction with restoration of three architectural monuments, the reconstruction of healthcare facilities, the construction of new apartments for citizens whose housing is recognised as dilapidated and unfit for habitation, and the improvement of urban areas. In total, over Br58 billion of the funds provided for by the programme is directed to public utilities facilities, over Br13 billion - to the renovation of architectural monuments, and Br15 billion - to the reconstruction of two healthcare facilities. -0-
