The Republican Festival of Collectives of Secondary Special Educational Institutions of Agrarian Profile "Student Agrarian Spring-2012" will bring together future agricultural sector workers from all over Belarus in Vitebsk, the Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine informed a BELTA correspondent. The event will take place from May 2 to 5 at the House of Culture of the Veterinary Academy. The opening of the festival on May 3 will be marked by a rich dance and entertainment program, and the heated competition battles will unfold the next day. Thus, on May 4, a competition of concert programs of creative collectives on the theme "Freestyle" will be held. Participants will perform in the following nominations: author's song, instrumental, vocal-choral, choreographic, theatrical art and other genres (compere, original numbers, short humorous stories, etc.). At the same time, the performance of works of Belarusian folk music and Belarusian authors is mandatory in the competition program. In addition, the "Intellectual Student Agrarian Spring" tournament, dedicated to the Year of Books, will be held. Its regulations include championships of the games "What? Where? When?", "Own Game", "Media Alphabet". Traditionally, during the forum, a round table of secretaries and activists of primary organizations of the BRSM of agricultural colleges will be held. Activists of the primary organizations will present a report-presentation on the work of their organization (secondary employment, cultural and mass work, volunteer movement, patriotic education, etc.). In addition, excursions around the academy town and Vitebsk, a sports festival and many other events are planned. The closing of the festival, the awarding of winners and a gala concert with their participation will take place on May 5. The festival is held for the purpose of career guidance for students, instilling in them a love for their chosen profession, forming ideological views, fostering citizenship and patriotism, identifying and supporting gifted students, and attracting student youth to scientific activities and public life. -0-
