For the first time in Vitebsk, over 500 young men and women aged 17 to 35, including university students and the city's working youth, will participate in the regional 2nd open youth educational forum "Student Week – 2020".

The event will be held from March 9 to 16 at the Educational Institution "Vitebsk Order of the Badge of Honour State Academy of Veterinary Medicine".

The forum is organised by the primary organisations of the student trade union committee and the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM) of the academy, with the support of the Youth Council of the Vitebsk Regional Trade Union Association.

Having been held for the first time at the Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine in 2019, the forum has become one of the most vibrant and anticipated platforms in the social life of youth. Its success is due to a unique synthesis of educational, practical, and entertainment programmes.

The forum is expanding not only its participant geography but also gaining popularity because it is a platform for dialogue and exchange of best practices and experience. Primarily, it is focused on developing the business activity, improving the educational level, and enhancing the socio-personal competencies of modern youth.

Discussion platforms, master classes, and training sessions aimed at personal development will be organised for the participants. Competitions in various sports, intellectual games, culinary, and creative contests will also take place.

This is where active recreation combines with intensive and effective learning. Young people gain practical skills in the most relevant areas of our time: youth entrepreneurship, personal image and business management, journalism, as well as photo and video production. As part of the forum, there will be dance lessons, self-defense in extreme situations, and more.

This year, the festival speakers will include: Anastasia Ruleva, head of the startup school in Vitebsk and ICTA transformational coach; Sergey Gunderak, retail business manager and internal corporate trainer at OJSC "Belinvestbank"; Irina Shevchenko, practical trainer and psychologist in business and IT planning, as well as marketing practice; and Alesya Samotoy, leading correspondent of the newspaper "Vitbichi".

Practical sessions for forum participants will be conducted by: Dmitry Osipov, photo correspondent for the leading regional publication "Vitebskiye Vesti"; Dmitry Kovalyov, Master of Sports in WUSHU-SANDA, instructor-methodologist of the Belarusian WUSHU Federation; Irina Kovalyova, instructor of group and individual programs in Pilates and interval training; Yana Tsyvis, active artist of the Honored Amateur Ensemble of the Republic of Belarus "Lyavonikha" dance ensemble, and teacher at the "Willpower" dance school; Daria Koshkorovskaya, multiple participant of dance battles and festivals, and teacher at the "Willpower" dance school; Viktor Frolov, resident and art director of clubs in Vitebsk, founder and head of the BPM-DJ electronic music school, and host of a weekly radio show within the "Afterparty" program on "Radio Vitebsk".

Another surprise for all participants will be a creative meeting with Svetlana Okruzhna, People's Artist of Belarus, Laureate of the "For Spiritual Revival" prize, and holder of the Medal and Order of Francysk Skaryna, a leading stage master at the Yakub Kolas National Academic Drama Theatre.
