The literary studio "Centre of Europe" will open on March 2 in Polotsk, the Polotsk District Centralized Library System informed a BELTA correspondent.
"Centre of Europe" is located in the Francysk Skaryna Central District Library. The studio at the library will become the main link between the creative literary associations of Polotsk District and will unite the entire creative elite of the city and district, thereby promoting their work among local residents and city guests. Its activities will be inextricably linked with the international literary festival "Centre of Europe" and will be aimed at creating and strengthening international ties in the field of culture and literature.
The programme of the grand opening ceremony of the literary studio will be held under the banner of the Year of Small Motherland. It includes its presentation and a literary and musical evening, during which Polotsk poets and musicians will perform musical and poetic numbers. The event will be attended by members of the studio, representatives of the city administration, Polotsk literary associations, and the district centralized library system.
