A joint meeting of the Presidium of the District Council of Deputies and the District Executive Committee reviewed an informational letter from the Lepel District Prosecutor's Office regarding the state of legality and law and order in the district in 2020.

The discussion on ensuring legality and law and order in the district was attended by: Zhigimont Vitaly Mikhailovich – Prosecutor of Lepel District, Justice Advisor; Azaryonok Viktor Vladimirovich – Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee; Borodeiko Vitaly Vladimirovich – Deputy Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the District Executive Committee – Head of Police and Public Security, Chairpersons of rural executive committees (rural councils of deputies).

An analysis of the state of legality and law and order in the district indicates that in 2020, law enforcement agencies, in cooperation with representative and executive authorities, carried out significant work to combat crime and corruption, prevent and suppress offenses in the economic and social spheres, and protect the constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens, as well as public and state interests.

At the same time, there are negative trends that require the adoption of additional measures in certain areas of activity this year.

Law enforcement entities have been given instructions to take organisational and legal measures to address the most pressing issues, and to implement a set of measures aimed at reducing crime, ensuring public safety, and observing the labour and social rights of citizens.
