The Lepel District Court has considered a criminal case against a native of the village of Staroye Lyadno, who committed a crime under Part 1 of Article 205 and Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.

The court of Lepel District considered a criminal case against a native of the village of Staroe Lyadno, who committed a crime under Part 1 of Article 205 and Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.

On one of the days in April 2019, a native of the village of Staroe Lyadno, while intoxicated, passing by the building of the educational institution "State Agrarian and Technical College", stole a bicycle belonging to the victim K. The next day, also while intoxicated and passing by the "Hanna" shop, he saw a bicycle belonging to the victim N., standing near the entrance to the shop, from where he stole it.

Both during the preliminary investigation and the court investigation, the native of the village of Staroe Lyadno pleaded guilty and sincerely repented.

Taking into account the opinion of the state prosecutor, the court of Lepel District found the native of the village of Staroe Lyadno guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus and sentenced him to correctional labour for a term of 1 year with 15% of his earnings withheld for the benefit of the state. He was also found guilty of committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus and sentenced to correctional labour for a term of 1 year and 6 months with 15% of his earnings withheld for the benefit of the state. In accordance with Part 1 of Article 71 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, the final punishment was determined by absorbing the less severe punishment by the more severe one, in the form of correctional labour for a term of 1 year and 6 months with 15% of his earnings withheld for the benefit of the state.

In accordance with Part 1 of Article 107 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, compulsory security measures and treatment for chronic alcoholism were applied to him at his place of residence.

This sentence of the court of Lepel District has entered into legal force.
