Meeting with the poet's daughter

It has become a tradition for the daughter of the poet, Maya Todarovna, to visit the agro-town of Kamen on the anniversary of the opening of the Todar Klyashtorny Library-Museum.

This time, she held a meeting with pupils at the school that once launched her on her life's journey.

During the conversation, the pupils introduced Maya Todarovna to their research work on the topic "The Colour Palette in Todar Klyashtorny's Lyrics from the Early 20th to the Late 1930s," where they traced the changes in the poet's worldview from golden-yellow in the 1920s to black-grey-bloody in the mid-1930s.

The fact that the pupils, along with their teachers, are not indifferent to their fellow countryman the poet, and are interested in his life and work, greatly moved and touched Maya Todarovna. She presented the Belarusian Language and Literature classroom, the school library, and the museum with the poet's latest collection of selected works.

Poems by Todar Klyashtorny were also recited at the meeting. The pupils showed her their museum, which focuses on the history of the school.

As a memento of the meeting, the children received postcards and stamps featuring Todar Klyashtorny.
