Adults must take care not only of themselves but also of children.
According to the requirements of the Traffic Regulations, in particular clause 17.1, "when moving along the edge of the roadway at night, a pedestrian must identify themselves with a retroreflective element (elements)".
The principle of their operation is based on the fact that light, hitting the ribbed surface made of special plastic, is concentrated and reflected. But simply wearing a flicker is not enough; it is important for the driver to see you and react in time. A reflective tape can be tied to a sleeve or trouser leg, and a pendant can be fastened to clothing with a pin. It should hang at knee height on the side of the roadway.
It is best to use two or more retroreflectors simultaneously – on the right and left sides.
We also remind you that only retroreflective elements of two colors – white and lemon – are certified and meet all requirements. Red, blue, green flickers are ineffective.
Remember! For any human presence on the night road to be safe, they must identify themselves as much as possible!
