Taxis - under the control of the traffic police!

  Until December 6, the State Automobile Inspectorate is conducting preventive measures aimed at improving the safety of passenger transportation by taxi.

  To prevent road traffic accidents and violations, traffic police officers, together with representatives of the Transport Inspectorate, are checking drivers of passenger cars engaged in commercial passenger transportation throughout the country.

  The focus is on the physical condition of taxi drivers, their driving licenses, compliance with safe transportation conditions, speed limits, maneuvering rules, and pedestrian crossing regulations, as well as the technical condition of the vehicles. Inspectors are also holding explanatory talks with drivers.

  Administrative measures are being taken against the heads of organizations that have allowed faulty vehicles to be operated.

  The State Automobile Inspectorate reminds carriers of their increased responsibility for the life and health of passengers and the need for strict compliance with the established Rules by all road users.
