Customs duties on oil and oil products will be removed for Belarus after the signing and ratification by our country of the entire package of documents on the creation of the Single Economic Space of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan. This was announced today in Astana to journalists by Vice Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov, BELTA correspondent reports. The corresponding decision is enshrined in the Protocol on certain temporary exceptions from the functioning regime of the single customs territory of the Customs Union, which was signed simultaneously with the decision to put the Customs Code into effect. Thus, customs duties on oil and oil products for Belarus will be removed automatically, without waiting for Russia and Kazakhstan to sign and ratify the documents on the SES. The protocol also enshrines the preservation of the current customs duty rates on passenger cars for individuals until July 1, 2011. That is, their regulation by national legislation has been extended for almost another year. In addition, until July 1, 2011, Belarus retains the national regime for regulating trade with third countries.-0-
