The "Na Semi Vetrakh" (In the Seven Winds) Street Art Festival will be held in Vitebsk from July 11 to 15, traditionally gathering a multitude of diverse artists, reports a BELTA correspondent.
Over the years, the forum has won the hearts of Vitebsk residents and guests with its openness, vibrancy, and maximum interactivity. Theatre productions, fire shows, living statues, performances, dances, and appearances by musicians, artists, bards, poets, and DJs – all this and more awaits spectators in the open air. Events will take place at venues near the Pushkin Bridge and on the adjacent square of the same name, at the Centre for Modern Art and its courtyard, on Tolstoy Street, in Frunze Park, and near the "Lyalka" Theatre.
Over 500 people have applied to participate. These are representatives of completely different groups, each of whom will find their own stage and audience.
One of the festival's distinctive features has been the setting of unique records. In previous years, participants recited a thousand poems about Vitebsk, photographers took a thousand pictures on the opening day of the "Slavianski Bazaar," and photos of street art festival events were collected on social media. This year, it's the turn of a kissing record. Organisers expect to gather a thousand kisses – romantic, friendly, and air kisses. From July 11 to 15, anyone can take photos of their kisses on the Pushkin Bridge and publish them on social media under a special hashtag.
On July 12 at 20:30, a parade of forum participants will take place along the central streets of Vitebsk, from Frunze Park to Pushkinskaya Square. A colourful performance by artists will be held here.
The "Na Semi Vetrakh" Street Art Festival will be held for the fifth time this year. The organiser is the "Vitebsk" Cultural Centre. The creative project is led by Vladislava Tsiviki.
