On April 17, the traffic police of the Vitebsk region will conduct preventive measures to prevent road traffic accidents involving drunk drivers and pedestrians.
The State Automobile Inspectorate staff will organise the following activities:
- Explanatory talks with road users on the topic of preventing the appearance on the roadway in a state of intoxication;
- Patrol groups, the main purpose of which will be to identify and suppress traffic violations by drunk drivers and pedestrians;
- Distribution of leaflets among drivers with a reminder of the actions to be taken upon detecting a pedestrian whose behaviour poses a threat to road safety.
The Traffic Police Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee urges drivers and pedestrians to be a positive example to each other and to make every effort together to reduce road accidents.
