On October 19, Minsk /Anna Kot - BELTA/. Electricity tariffs for the population of Belarus will approach the level of 100% cost recovery in 2016. This was stated today at a meeting of the CIS Electric Power Council in Minsk by First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko, BELTA correspondent reports.
"The tariff policy provides for the gradual approximation of electricity tariffs for the population to actual costs. In 2016, it is planned to bring these tariffs closer to the 100% recovery level," said Vladimir Semashko.
Currently, the recovery level for electricity is 30.9%, for thermal energy - 16.8%, for gas - 29.1%.
"This task is set, it is stipulated in all basic documents, including the strategy for the development of Belarus as a whole, and we will achieve this task," emphasized Vladimir Semashko. This will significantly improve the economics of the power system, allowing it to continue to develop effectively, stated the First Deputy Prime Minister.-0-
