1 February, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. Tariffs for oil transportation services via main pipelines on the territory of Belarus have been increased by 8.3% from February 1, 2012. This was reported to BELTA correspondent by the press service of the Ministry of Economy. "Tariffs for oil transportation services via main pipelines of open joint-stock companies 'Gomeltransneft Druzhba' and 'Polotsktransneft Druzhba', located on the territory of Belarus, have been increased by 8.3% from February 1, 2012, compared to the 2011 level, in Russian roubles," the ministry's press service stated. The tariffs are established by resolutions of the Ministry of Economy of Belarus dated January 17, 2012, No. 6 "On tariffs for oil transportation services via main pipelines located on the territory of the Republic of Belarus" and No. 7 "On tariffs for oil transportation services via the main pipeline system of open joint-stock companies 'Gomeltransneft Druzhba' and 'Polotsktransneft Druzhba' on the territory of the Republic of Belarus". These resolutions are adopted in accordance with the intergovernmental agreement between Belarus and Russia on the main principles and conditions of relations in the field of oil transportation dated July 20, 1992. OJSC "Gomeltransneft Druzhba" is the operator of the southern branch of the "Druzhba" main oil pipeline and carries out transit of Russian and Kazakh oil through Belarus to Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and also supplies Russian and Belarusian oil to OJSC "Mozyr Oil Refinery". OJSC "Polotsktransneft Druzhba" is the operator of the northern branch of the main oil pipeline – it transports Russian oil from the West Siberian region, Tatarstan and the Volga region to Belarus to OJSC "Naftan". In addition, the oil pipelines operated by the organization allow for transit transportation of oil to the Baltic countries. -0-
