On July 10, Minsk / Lilia Krapivina - BELTA /. Tariffs for housing and communal services in Belarus are planned to be increased by the end of 2012, said Anatoly Shagun, Deputy Minister of Housing and Communal Services, to journalists today, BELTA correspondent reports. The government has determined the tariff policy for 2012, calculating a price increase of $5 for a standard two-room apartment with three residents. This year, tariffs for housing and communal services have already been increased in April and from June 1. They rose by $2.5, of which $1.3 is for the housing and communal services system (water, sewerage), and $1.2 is for the energy system. Based on this, it can be determined that an increase in tariffs for housing and communal services should be expected in the same range by the end of the year, Anatoly Shagun noted. At the same time, he did not name specific dates for the possible increase. The Deputy Minister also reported that under the tariffs in effect from June 1, the reimbursement of costs by the population for housing and communal services averages 15%. Electricity and gas are not included in this indicator, he clarified. -0-
