10 June, Minsk /BelTA/. As is tradition during the admission campaign, the Committee of State Control of Belarus has opened telephone hotlines for prospective students in all regions of the country. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by the committee. Any inquiry from prospective students and their parents addressed to representatives of the State Control Committee, members of the State Commission for the Control of the Preparation and Conduct of Entrance Examinations at Higher and Secondary Specialised Educational Institutions of Belarus in 2011, will be considered objectively and promptly. Telephone of the working group of the State Commission in Minsk - (8-017) 227-66-80; Brest Regional Commission - (8-0162) 21-00-33, 23-16-90; Vitebsk Regional Commission - (8-0212) 37-33-90, 36-44-95; Gomel Regional Commission - (8-0232) 70-16-38, 70-18-00; Grodno Regional Commission - (8-0152) 74-52-72, 77-04-47; Minsk Regional Commission - (8-017) 284-06-96, 284-07-06; Mogilev Regional Commission - (8-0222) 22-11-84, 22-18-97, 31-07-75. A telephone hotline is also operating at the Ministry of Education of Belarus - (8-017) 222-43-12. For several years now, calls from prospective students and their parents have been answered here not only by ministry specialists but also by representatives of admission committees of higher and secondary specialised educational institutions. As noted by BelTA correspondent in the department, the practice of involving experienced representatives of educational institutions, competent in admission matters, in the hotline work has proven effective. Representatives of educational institutions approach this work responsibly: they provide explanations to prospective students and their parents on all issues not as theorists, but as practitioners, based on their experience in admission committees. Thanks to the qualified work of admission committees and the hotline, the number of citizens' inquiries regarding admission to higher education institutions is decreasing.
