Before commencing an overtake, it is necessary to ensure that the lane into which the driver intends to move is clear and that their actions will not create a threat to road traffic safety, nor compel other participants to change direction or reduce speed.We remind you that overtaking is prohibited:
in the zone of operation of road signs "No Overtaking", "Overtaking by Goods Vehicles Prohibited", "Dangerous Bend", "Steep Ascent"
at marked and regulated intersections
at pedestrian crossings and within 50 metres thereof in both directions
of a vehicle that is overtaking or manoeuvring around an obstacle
when road visibility is insufficient on and under overpasses at railway crossings and within 100 metres thereof
