On October 30, 2018, a thematic seminar "Libraries in Aid of Fostering a Tolerant Culture among Youth and Adolescents" was held for rural librarians of the State Cultural Institution "Lepel Centralized Library System". The aim of the seminar was to promote the ideas of tolerance, readiness to live in peace and harmony, accepting different views and foreign cultural traditions.

The importance of coordinated and systematic work of libraries and various social structures in promoting the ideas of tolerance was highlighted in her report by Anna Vikentyevna Dyatko, Head of the Marketing Department. The seminar guests also addressed these issues: Svetlana Ilyinichna Drobyshevskaya, Deputy Director for Educational Work of Secondary School No. 3 in Lepel, and Sergey Lyashkevich, Rector of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord.

During the seminar, participants were also able to learn about the experience of other libraries and methods for conducting various events on this topic. A presentation of the information and methodological guide "The Path of Tolerance, Peace, Friendship and Harmony" was held.
