According to him, the directorate keeps track of booked tickets, as the festival is an event that many people prepare for and plan their time around in advance:
– We are currently proceeding three times faster than in the previous two years. We are receiving comprehensive applications from Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia. The Russian tourist market has become very active. If no new waves [of the pandemic] reach us and the borders remain open, the city can expect pre-COVID levels of tourist groups.
The most popular events at the moment are concerts in the Summer Amphitheatre and solo performances. The theatre and philharmonic programmes are in high demand. Young people will surely appreciate the upcoming open-air events. One of the most interesting projects will be a jazz night with Leonid Ptashka. The regional museum of local history is preparing magnificent exhibitions, including "Golden Khokhloma" and "The Magic of Gzhel," brought by Gzhel State University. In addition, about fifteen fringe events will await guests and participants of "Slavianski Bazaar." Forming a unified tapestry of the cornflower festival, all events prepared by the organisers will once again envelop the city in a captivating and unforgettable aura of a vibrant celebration.
In 2022, "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will take place from July 13 to 18. Representatives from about 30 countries will participate in the XXXI forum. Approximately five thousand accredited guests and participants are expected in total. Events will be held at 20 venues across the city.
