President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 398 on November 14, approving as a basis for negotiations the draft protocol on amendments to the Agreement on the Procedure for Forming and Executing the Budget of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation dated December 1, 2017. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Head of State.
The draft protocol enshrines the possibility of paying annual contributions to the SCO budget not only in US dollars but also in other currencies.
The government is authorised to sign this international treaty. It is planned that this will happen during the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) of the SCO member states in Moscow, scheduled for November 17-18 this year.
