On October 25, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. OJSC "Tekhnolit-Polotsk" will begin the installation of a monument to the heroes of the War of 1812 in the Smolensk region in November, the director of the enterprise, Leonid Petrov, told a BELTA correspondent.
Currently, the Polotsk enterprise is completing the production of parts and structural elements, the preliminary assembly stage will take place in the next two weeks, and from mid-November, factory specialists will begin the phased removal and installation of the monument in the village of Krasny. The full assembly of the structure, 24 m high and weighing 120 tons, is planned to be completed by December 10. The grand opening of the monument is scheduled for August 2012. Until that time, landscaping work will be carried out here, in which "Tekhnolit-Polotsk" will also take part. The enterprise has already received an order for the manufacture of benches and decorative fences. In addition, it initiated the renovation of the monument to the victims of fascism located next to the opening monument. "We proposed sketches for a completely new monument made of metal. The proposal was met with approval and is currently under discussion," noted Leonid Petrov.
The cost of the monument to the heroes of the War of 1812 is about 1 million euros. The project is financed from the budget of the Union State. This is the third monument manufactured by OJSC "Tekhnolit-Polotsk" by order of the Union State. The first two were installed in Polotsk and Maloyaroslavets, Russia.
In January-September, the enterprise produced products worth Br23.3 billion, or 114% of the same level last year. Exports for this period increased by 8% and amounted to over $1 million. The energy saving indicator is minus 10.8% with a plan of minus 6.5%. Investments in fixed assets for 9 months amounted to over Br1 billion. The share of innovative products in the total volume of shipped products reached 21%.
The enterprise was founded in 1927. It specializes in the manufacture of gray cast iron products and metalworking products, automated milking parlors. -0-
