A gathering of production leaders filled almost the entire assembly hall of the district cultural centre. Long before the event began, the car park in front of the cultural centre was full of cars, and more people kept arriving. The Lepel Dairy and Canning Plant, the Forestry Enterprise, the Housing and Communal Services, the Electromechanical Plant and the District Mechanical Plant – all enterprises and organisations sent their best workers here.

The official event immediately turned into a reunion of old acquaintances.

Music played, and the festive concert opened with a song performed by Oleg Dyman, Ivan Dabridnev, and Vital Khvatinets. The Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Boris Yafremov, delivered a welcoming speech. He reported on the achievements in the district's production sector, construction, and service sphere. Despite the challenging economic situation, enterprises in the Lepel region managed to increase their product exports.

Then, the presentation of well-deserved awards and cash prizes began. Among the enterprises recognised were OJSC "Lepel Dairy and Canning Plant", KUP "Borovka", DKUBP "Lepel PMK-75", private enterprise "Belkhimas", and other economic entities. Their managers were congratulated by the Chairman of the District Executive Committee.

The Chairman of the District Council of Deputies, Nikolai Miśura, presented honorary diplomas and prizes to the best milk collectors and suppliers in the rural councils. Awards to the best workers were presented by the Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Alexander Shidlovsky.

Each of the recognised workers could be discussed individually. Their life and work paths are a reflection of the Lepel region with all its joys and hardships.

The audience greatly enjoyed the concert; it was rich and emotional. Both adult and young performers entertained with songs and dances, with the latter not yielding to their elders in skill.

After the concert concluded, the guests lingered for a long time, sharing impressions, memories, and the latest news, and inviting each other to visit.
