Ceremonial honoring of the winners of the third stage of the republican olympiad

A formal ceremony to honour the winners of the third stage of the republican olympiad was held at the district executive committee.

The Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Viktor Azaryonok, delivered a welcoming speech:

Many thanks to the teachers and parents for their daily work. Today we have the opportunity not only to morally but also to materially reward the olympiad participants. They bring glory to the district with their successes. We strive to do everything possible to strengthen the material and technical base. Significant funds have been invested in the renovation of nursery-kindergarten No. 9. We are completely re-equipping the catering system, renovation continues in the Zaslonovskaya and Borovskaya secondary schools, and fiber optic has been installed in all city schools. Last year, four school buses were purchased. The opening of the hall at the district House of Culture with a modern 3D cinema is planned for the end of summer. Viktor Vladimirovich also read out congratulations from the Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Boris Efremov.

Yuri Pekar, a representative of the "Belaya Rus" public association, presented diplomas and monetary prizes to the prize-winners. These included Alesya Tarasevich, a student of the Erashov Gymnasium (Diploma of the Second Degree in English and a Commendation Certificate of the final stage of the olympiad), Yan Krivets and Valentina Grinkevich, students of Secondary School No. 1 (Diploma of the Third Degree in Biology), Anush Markaryan, a student of Borovskaya Secondary School (Diploma of the Third Degree in History), and Anastasia Piskunova, a student of Slobodskaya Kindergarten-Secondary School (Diploma of the Third Degree in Belarusian Language).

Viktor Azaryonok acknowledged the teachers, without whose contribution this success would have been impossible. The teachers who "paved" the stellar path to victory were Elena Zinkevich, English language teacher at the Erashov Gymnasium; Elena Silvanovich, Biology teacher at Secondary School No. 1; Evgenia Eritcyan, History teacher at Borovskaya Secondary School; and Olga Babaed, Belarusian language teacher at Slobodskaya Kindergarten-Secondary School. There were also warm words of appreciation for the students' parents.

Elena Zinkevich, the English language teacher, began "paving" the way with Alesya Tarasevich back in the fifth grade. A brilliant result was achieved at the regional olympiad – the eleventh-grade student scored over ninety percent in the lexical-grammatical test, and over eighty percent in listening and speaking. Such results are a cause for pride.

Anush Markaryan expressed gratitude on behalf of the Olympiad participants to the teachers, parents, representatives of the district executive committee, and the Department of Education, Sports, and Tourism.
