Trade turnover between Belarus and Ukraine in January-February 2011 exceeded the corresponding figure of last year by 51.7% and amounted to $639.2 million, the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Kyiv informed BELTA correspondent. In particular, exports of Belarusian products to Ukraine in the first two months of the current year increased by 55.4% to $344.9 million, and imports - by 47.6% to $294.3 million. At the same time, the positive trade balance for Belarus is maintained, which amounted to $50.6 million. According to the results of 2010, this figure was recorded at $685 million, with the Belarusian-Ukrainian trade turnover reaching almost $4.5 billion. The growth in mutual trade volumes in 2010 compared to 2009 was about $1.5 billion. In January 2011, the trade turnover between Belarus and Ukraine increased by a quarter to $240.3 million compared to January 2010. -0-
