The turnover of agricultural fairs held in Vitebsk last Saturday, September 24, amounted to over Br370 million, the Trade and Services Department of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. The fairs were held at the "Tsentralny" market, Proletarskaya Square, and the area near the "Vitebsk" concert hall. Products were presented to the citizens by 110 economic entities, which offered a wide range of vegetables, seedlings, young plants, meat and dairy products, honey, live fish, berries, grains, and other goods. In total, about 80 tons of fruits and vegetables were sold to the population. Buyers showed considerable interest in seedlings and young plants, with the longest queues observed for them. The price range for products was quite wide. For example, pork was sold at prices from Br30.7 thousand to Br55 thousand, beef from Br29 thousand to Br35.2 thousand, poultry carcasses from Br15,780 to Br20,790, potatoes from Br1,380 to Br1,800, cabbage from Br990 to Br1,500, onions from Br3,400 to Br3,990, carrots from Br1,500 to Br2,640, beetroot from Br1,700 to Br2,400, apples from Br3,750 to Br7,000, eggs from Br5,570 to Br5,370, live fish from Br10,900 to Br15,260. In addition, mobile trade by economic entities of the region was carried out in the microdistricts of the regional center, with a turnover of over Br460 million.
