The military commissar of Lepel and Ushachi districts, Commissar Yuri Oleschkovsky, noted that conscripts demonstrate a conscious approach and even enthusiasm – no one is looking for ways to evade service. As part of the event, military-sports competitions were held for magazine loading under time pressure, partial disassembly of a Kalashnikov rifle, and air rifle shooting. The best conscripts and students received certificates of honor and sweet prizes. Among those distinguished were: conscript Denis Novitsky, who showed the best result in magazine loading; Yaroslav Khomich (Secondary School No. 3) became the best in shooting, and Vladislav Gadas (Gymnasium) – in fulfilling the standard for partial disassembly of the AK-74 assault rifle. The благочинный of the Lepel district, Sergiy Leshkevich, and the deputy chairman of the Lepel district organization "Belarusian Union of Officers", Valery Leshchenok, addressed the future soldiers with parting words alongside the military commissar.
