A year ago, a new draft of the Fundamental Law of the Republic of Belarus came into force, which the entire country voted for in the Referendum on February 27. Now this event is already part of our history. A dialogue platform is being held today at the Vitebsk Region Media Centre, where experts and speakers are discussing what has been done in the legislative sphere during this time and what changes have occurred in the socio-political life of Belarus.
The Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work, Culture and Youth Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee, Marina Novitskaya, emphasised that the Constitution is the main document for any citizen.
– We met many times at dialogue platforms and talked about how this was a timely document, – said Marina Novitskaya. – Many articles have acquired a new meaning. This was necessary and conditioned by the changing situation in Belarus and the external environment. The discussion will also cover changes in the Electoral Code and the Law on the All-Belarusian People's Assembly.
