At 00:20 on the night of 5 September, the Crisis Management Department of the Shumilino District Department of Emergency Situations received a report of a house fire in the urban settlement of Shumilino. Upon arrival at the scene, heavy smoke and fire were observed inside the wooden log residential house. In a room near the window, the body of the 54-year-old cohabitant of the house owner was found on the bed. On the floor near the bed, the body of the 59-year-old house owner was found. In the hallway, on the floor, the body of the house owner's unemployed acquaintance, born in 1965, who was visiting her, was found. The presumed cause of the fire is carelessness while smoking by the cohabitant of the house owner. In total, over the past 24 hours, 4 fires occurred in the region, resulting in 3 deaths, 1 injury, and 1 person rescued.-0-
