Three long-term construction projects were commissioned in the Vitebsk region at the end of August

12 September, Vitebsk /Alena Tikhonova - BELTA/. Three long-delayed construction projects were commissioned in the Vitebsk region at the end of August. Shareholders in Vitebsk, Novopolotsk and Orsha will receive the keys to their long-awaited apartments. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Anatoly Zvontsov, Head of the Department for Control of Construction Complex and Housing and Communal Services of the Vitebsk Regional Control Committee.

As a result of additional measures taken by the Control Committee and the State Construction Supervision Inspectorate, the construction of a 96-apartment residential building No. 22 in the Bilevo-2 microdistrict in Vitebsk was completed at the end of August this year. Construction of the facility began at the end of 2010 and lasted 34 months. In this case, the normative construction period (10.5 months) was exceeded by almost three and a half times.

"The construction of this house (like the adjacent No. 24, which was commissioned at the end of July) was carried out by the Vitebsk House-Building Combine in an emergency mode. Work was organised in several shifts at the sites with the involvement of additional labour resources. In such a situation, it was very important not to allow instances of poor-quality work. The completion of construction was carried out under the strict control of specialists from the Control Committee and the inspection of the Department for Construction Control and Supervision in the Vitebsk Region. All shortcomings identified during construction were corrected by the time of acceptance," said Anatoly Zvontsov.

He also emphasised that the 58-apartment long-delayed construction in Novopolotsk was planned to be commissioned in July. "At the time of the supposed acceptance, there were significant deficiencies at the facility, both in the apartments and in the common areas. The building could not be accepted for commissioning in this condition. Specialists from the Control Committee and the State Construction Supervision Inspectorate insisted that the building be handed over only after the deficiencies were eliminated. Work at the facility was finally completed at the end of August. The construction of the residential building in Orsha was carried out more evenly and steadily. The long-delayed construction was commissioned exactly within the deadlines set by the regional executive committee," explained the head of the department.-0-
