On September 12, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. In one day, on the same section of the M1 highway Brest-Minsk-border of the Russian Federation, three batches of illegal cargo totaling Br328.3 million were detained, the Vitebsk customs informed a BELTA correspondent. Initially, officers of the operational-search department of the Vitebsk customs, in cooperation with the Department for Financial Investigations of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus for the Vitebsk region and the inspectorate of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties for the Oktyabrsky district of Vitebsk, stopped a Mercedes bus driven by a citizen of Belarus. During the inspection of the cabin, goods were found: car acoustic systems, domestic fan heaters, air humidifiers, dog grooming clippers, submersible pumps. All these goods were transported within the territory of the Customs Union without accompanying documents; their preliminary cost is estimated at Br16.7 million. A little later, during the same special operation, a MAZ vehicle driven by a citizen of Belarus carrying grass seeds was stopped. There were no accompanying documents for this cargo, preliminarily valued at Br61.8 million. During the inspection of the cargo compartment of another vehicle, stopped for inspection on the same section of the road, key fobs, metal tape, and hairpins were discovered, transported, as in the first two cases, without accompanying documents. However, even the preliminary valuation of the seized cargo exceeded the previous two seizures threefold, amounting to Br249.8 million.
