Public reception offices for collecting initiatives on constitutional reform and pressing issues of the country and regions continue to operate in the Vitebsk region. Various proposals concerning the future of our country were heard during the work of the public reception office in Vitebsk by Yuri Vyzhikovsky, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Construction of the Regional Executive Committee, and Valery Bashmetov, Deputy Chairman of the regional organization of the RPO "Belaya Rus".

According to Ruslan Novikov, Chairman of the Youth Chamber of Vitebsk, heads of local executive bodies – mayors, district heads, regional heads – should not be appointed by the Head of State, but elected:

– We will involve the population in political culture, and a leader elected in this way will have greater responsibility to the voters.

To prevent individuals from misunderstanding Article 33 of the Constitution, which states "Everyone is guaranteed freedom of opinion, beliefs and their free expression," Tatyana Onishchik proposed to add: "in forms, words and actions that do not violate public order, comply with generally accepted norms of morality, ethical and aesthetic principles."

Pensioner Leonid Svirzhevsky believes that one chamber is sufficient in Parliament, there is no point in dividing it into two, as they do the same job anyway. He would also like pensioners to have their travel benefits, road tax payments, and others reinstated. In addition, Leonid Kazimirovich proposed that one of the country's major retail chains should not raffle off apartments and cars, but instead use this money to create a fund to help sick children or doctors.

It is difficult not to notice that society is increasingly clearly divided into those who create and build, and those who are indifferent or strive to destroy everything. Therefore, Tatyana proposed introducing an educational element into labor lessons at schools:

– Children should not be doing something abstract, like, "maybe someday this will be useful to you," but should strive to do good for someone with a specific goal in mind. For example, making benches, railings, signs, or plaques with wise sayings for the improvement of recreation areas and other public places, with the right to sign their masterpieces "To our beloved city from the students of such-and-such a class of such-and-such a school." Then the children will personally, by their own example, understand how difficult it is to do this, and they will not have the desire to destroy everything around them.

Alexander Galay is convinced that young people behave inappropriately because they live without God in their souls:

– A spiritual reformation of Belarus must take place, repentance is needed, and the nation can only be reborn on the basis of Christian, family values. But for this, more attention must be paid to the spiritual education of youth.

In Vitebsk, the work of public reception offices will continue every Wednesday and Friday from 16:00 to 20:00, where specialists from various departments will listen to citizens' proposals. Initiatives voiced during the work of the public reception offices are currently being accumulated and will be discussed at the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, where a strategy for the further development of our country will be developed.
