This opinion was expressed today to a BELTA correspondent by the owner of a radio electronic goods retail outlet in the "Belarus" trade and business center in Vitebsk. According to him, currently the price for goods of most individual entrepreneur-importers is set with the dollar exchange rate at Br8,000-9,000, and the Russian ruble at Br290. "In one to two months, when the period of turbulence passes and the situation stabilizes, the real exchange rate will become clear. And it will be significantly lower than the one set based on the results of the first additional currency auction, which means the cost of goods will automatically decrease," said the entrepreneur, noting that many of his colleagues expressed a similar opinion. Holding additional auctions is a turning point for many individual entrepreneurs, as it gives them the opportunity to abandon illegal currency exchange operations. As a survey of individual entrepreneurs of the "Belarus" trade and business center showed, many have had to resort to the services of currency speculators at least once. For example, one seller of men's sports footwear purchased Russian rubles in this way several times. "I know it's illegal, but I urgently needed currency," admitted the young man, adding that now, with the availability of currency in banks and a real opportunity to acquire it legally, even at a high rate, the need to seek dubious services disappears. "The main thing is that it is available in exchange offices, otherwise the situation will continue to develop in a spiral: currency speculators will raise prices again, and consequently, our prices will also go up," emphasized the individual entrepreneur.-0-
