The exemplary circus studio "Fantazery" from Orsha has once again become a winner of a prestigious circus art competition. This time, the young performers presented their solo programme "Journey Through Time" at the 2nd Open Republican Festival "Arena-STAR".
For this programme, "Fantazery" were awarded the Grand Prix, along with a valuable gift and a First Degree Diploma. The Orsha team also presented three individual solo acts: a hula-hoop performance "Khozyayushki" (Mistresses), a silks routine "Vspyshka" (Flash), and an equilibrium act on coils "Shakhmatnaya Koroleva" (Chess Queen). These acts received First Degree Laureate Diplomas.
– This is not our first time participating in this festival-competition, – said Svetlana Ravkovskaya, the head of the exemplary circus studio. – It aims to popularise circus art among children and youth in our country, and to facilitate the exchange of experience and skills. "Arena-STAR" has become an important milestone in the development of the circus festival movement in Belarus, bringing together amateur circus groups from all over the republic. Last year, "Fantazery" also won the Grand Prix and received a television as a gift for their strap act "Chudak" (Oddball) performed by Polina Boloshenko.
This year, 20 collectives from across the republic participated in the competition, presenting around 90 acts of various genres in the capital.
