On July 10, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Floral collages by masters from Russia, Belarus, and Armenia can be seen in Vitebsk during the "Slavianski Bazaar" arts festival, as reported to BELTA correspondent by the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore. The International Creative Association of Phyto-Collage Artists "Florissima" and the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore have organised the exhibition of floral collage "Slavianski Etudes" and timed its opening to coincide with the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" International Arts Festival. Visitors will be able to see about 60 works by 25 authors, created using various floral collage techniques, as well as to familiarise themselves with special books and catalogues and receive consultations from artists, members of the International Creative Association of Phyto-Collage Artists (ICAP). As the organisers hope, "Slavianski Etudes" will promote international creative cooperation among phyto-collage artists, and also give an impetus to the development and popularisation of this art form in Belarus, which has many talented masters. The ICAP was established in 2004. Since then, regular exhibitions have been held both in Russia and abroad. Floral collages by association members have also been exhibited in Greece, the Czech Republic, and Armenia. By the end of 2012, an exhibition of floral collage is expected in Japan and Austria. Wherever these exhibitions are held, they enjoy constant success, because floral collage is a unique co-creation of the artist and nature, which itself suggests to the master the ways of embodying an idea on canvas. The exhibition, organised with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Belarus and the Ministry of Culture of Russia, will be held at the Art Museum, a branch of the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore, from July 10 to August 9. -0-
