The tourist potential of the Lepel region is presented at an international exhibition

From April 13 to 15, the 25th International Spring Exhibition of Tourist Services "Rest-2023" is being held at the Republican Centre for Olympic Training in Team Sports "Palace of Sports".

This is the largest tourism exhibition in Belarus in the "Tourism and Recreation" category, serving as an international business platform for countries, regions, and tourism companies from around the world to present their products and services in the Belarusian market.

It is gratifying to note that the Deputy Chairperson of the Lepel District Executive Committee, Oksana Tereshkova, the Head of the Sports and Tourism Sector of the District Executive Committee, Elena Skorbo, the Tourism Methodologist of the Information and Tourism Centre of the Sports and Tourism Sector of the District Executive Committee, Nina Vasilyeva, representatives of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve, KUP DROTS "Zhemchuzhina", and other residents of our district are participating in this large-scale event.

– Lepel region is a special land, with beautiful places and numerous historical and cultural values. In addition, the district boasts a unique natural complex, including an exceptional diversity of forest types, meadows, and wetlands, the unique floodplain complex of the Berezina River, numerous large and small rivers, and unparalleled lakes. This includes the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve, which is the only specially protected natural area of the highest rank in the Republic of Belarus. Representatives of the institution are also participating in the exhibition.

– Every enthusiast of both active and passive recreation will find places to visit and things to see in the Lepel region, – is confident the Deputy Chairperson of the District Executive Committee, Oksana Tereshkova. – Our district has tourism potential that is in demand among tourists.

At the international exhibition, the staff of the reserve demonstrated the advantages of active and engaging recreation in the picturesque locations of the Lepel region to numerous guests. Citizens not only from Belarus but also from other countries showed interest in excursion tours and programmes, and sought consultations from specialists.

– This exhibition is a wonderful opportunity to make ourselves known, as the programme includes industrial, medical and gastronomic, and extreme tourism.

sport tourism, new tourist brands, and much more, -- noted Elena Skorbo. -- The topic of agroecotourism is particularly interesting and informative for us. Our country has over 3,000 agro-estates, and each of them is unique and inimitable in its own way. At the exhibition, agroecotourism is represented by a large number of participants: some invite visitors for summer fishing or horse riding, others share the secrets of preparing ancient dishes, and still others present a real Russian banya.

The scale of the event is also evidenced by the participation of representatives from Uzbekistan, Georgia, Russia, and other countries.

Participants of the exhibition can get answers to many current issues during round tables, seminars, and presentations.
