On January 23, Vitebsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. The tourist potential of Polotsk will be presented at the international spring fair in Friedrichshafen (Germany), the deputy chairperson of the Polotsk City Executive Committee, Varvara Platonova, told a BELTA correspondent. The exhibition fair will be held on the shore of Lake Constance from March 21 to 25. Its themes are diverse, ranging from cars and food products to leisure and travel. According to Varvara Platonova, the ancient Belarusian city will present its tourist opportunities to a wide European audience. Moreover, the exposition will not be limited to telling about local attractions; its visitors will get acquainted with leisure opportunities in agro-estates and hunting tourism. Polotsk intends to use the exhibition as a platform for meeting new enterprises, establishing new contacts, advertising, and finding clients. The participation of the Polotsk City Executive Committee in the exhibition fair became possible thanks to the financial support of the authorities of Friedrichshafen, the sister city of the ancient Belarusian city, who provided a significant discount, as well as the business circles of Polotsk, who also provided financial support. According to expert assessments, Germany is one of the most promising countries in Europe for presenting and promoting its business. Large exhibition areas and major exhibition centers make Germany a leader in the number of similar events held here. Germany has over 20 venues hosting more than 150 international trade exhibitions and fairs, which is about two-thirds of all events of this scale in the world. Exhibitions and fairs in Germany are visited by about 1 million people annually. -0-
