Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling tournaments will bring together athletes from all over Belarus in Vitebsk, the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. The open republican Greco-Roman wrestling tournament, dedicated to the memory of Hero of the Soviet Union L.M. Dovator, will open on 19 April at the Central Sports Complex "Dynamo". Participants, including over 100 adult athletes from all over Belarus and a team of guests from St. Petersburg, will compete for sets of awards in seven weight categories. Winners and prize-winners, who will be determined on the same day, will be awarded commemorative prizes and medals. In addition, Belarusian wrestlers who take prize-winning places will be awarded the title of Master of Sports of the Republic of Belarus. The same sports venue will host the open republican freestyle wrestling tournament on 20-21 April, dedicated to the memory of the Honoured Coach of the BSSR Valery Zubkov. Among the participants are about 120 athletes from Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, Lithuania and Latvia. Men will compete for awards in eight weight categories, women in seven. The awards ceremony will take place on 21 April. The organisers of the sports events are the Vitebsk Regional School of Higher Sportsmanship, the Regional Wrestling Federation, and the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.-0-
