Creative Horizons of Agro-Towns

November 19, Lepel /Own correspondent/. The songs of well-known local performers and exhibitions of arts and crafts masters always attract many spectators and become a highlight in the district. The district review-competition "Agrocruise-2012" was held once again.

The first creative contest of rural artists this year took place at the Kamensk rural House of Culture. Representatives of the agro-towns of Kamen, Chareyshchyna, and Bobrovo were to demonstrate their ingenuity and stage skills.

...The hall gradually filled with spectators, but no one could pass by the original exhibition "Beauty of the Native Land" prepared in the foyer of the rural House of Culture. The spectators were impressed by the pictures made of dry leaves, created by young masters from Kamen, Anastasia Lapshina, Tatyana Pustoshilo, and Yulia Lapshina. The artists from Bobrovo delighted the audience with original straw crafts. Beautiful dolls, bead floral compositions, and ribbon flowers gathered into lush bouquets by the creators from Chareyshchyna looked very vibrant.

In the first round, the artists had to present a video of their agro-town. The guests from Chareyshchyna approached this theme with humour. The audience could not hold back their laughter seeing a story about a "chupacabra" that had eaten all the villagers' domestic animals. To avoid losses, the enterprising residents of the agro-town brought the remaining produce to the market...

A kaleidoscope of memorable performances awaited the audience in the second round, titled "Talents of Our Agro-town". The songs performed by the vocal group of the Chareyshchyna Rural House of Culture, who performed a folk song, were heard from the stage. The songs performed by Maria Avisievich and Karina Kleshtornaya, students of the Borovskaya Secondary School, sounded heartfelt and poignant. The audience warmly welcomed a song from Nadezhda Kadysheva's repertoire, excellently performed by Tamara Krivko, a crop farmer at OJSC "Chareyshchyna".

The artists from Bobrovo also prepared creative surprises for the audience. Young singer Svetlana Pichkina delighted the audience, and the performance of the vocal group members sounded clear and lively.

The vocal group from the agro-town of Kamen captivated the audience with their artistry and stage presence, performing popular folk songs. Their beautiful singing was perfectly complemented by dance elements. A trio consisting of Antonina, Viktor Popko, and Alena Dalchanina impressed the audience with their performance.

Residents of the rural hinterland are not only talented performers but also excellent hosts and skilled cooks. This was confirmed by the third round of the "Agro-Cruise" competition, titled "Culinary Duel." The hospitable hosts from Chareyshchyna, with warm verses, invited the jury members to sample delicious village sausage. The appetising dish was masterfully decorated with tomato, orange, lemon, parsley, and cauliflower leaves. The hostesses from Bobrovo took to the stage singing, each holding a pot. The village cooks invited everyone to taste fresh potato dishes. The performers from Kamen presented their treat in a humorous manner. To classical chords, a handsome swan appeared on stage, hospitably inviting the jury to try the "Swan Song" salad.

The next round, "Video Joke of Our Agro-Town," was memorable. The performers from Chareyshchyna demonstrated an interesting episode of a grandfather visiting a doctor. The audience was amused by stories from the family life of the workers of the Bobrovo Rural Cultural and Leisure Centre. The audience was very interested to hear news from the life of the agro-town of Kamen, told by two grandmothers.

Then, the librarians entered into a creative duel. The hall was filled with laughter as stories from the life of the Chareyshchyna library were told from the stage. The performers from Bobrovo, in their sketch, demonstrated how a psychic librarian receives visitors. The village performers, in their sketch, told how the Kamen library has the right literature for every visitor.

The team from the agro-town of Bobrovo was awarded the First Degree Diploma and a cash prize of 300 thousand rubles. The performers from Chareyshchyna and Kamen were awarded Diplomas for their active participation in the event. However, throughout the performances of the village artists, the hall was filled with sincere laughter and joyful exclamations. This is perhaps the best reward for the rural creators.
