On the eve of the summer holidays and during the Olympic Games, OJSC "Belagroprombank", together with the Association "Belarusian Football Federation" and the enterprise "Santa Bremor", with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, held the "Gift a Child a Football!" campaign in our country.
Pleasant surprises were also prepared for the first-graders of the rural schools in our district. Employees of the Lepel branch of OJSC "Belagroprombank" visited all 18 rural schools of the Lepel region. 131 first-graders received a football and several prizes as gifts.
Nikolai Volkov, head of the Lepel branch of OJSC "Belagroprombank", visited Borovskaya Secondary School. The young athletes of this school have been winners of district football competitions for the last six years, and in 2007 they became winners of the republican football competition "Leather Ball". There is confidence that worthy young footballers are growing up in the school.
The aim of the event is to introduce children to the most popular sport on the planet. These gifts will contribute to the organisation of children's leisure time, team cohesion and spirit, the formation of initial sports skills, and health improvement.
We sincerely hope that the "Gift a Child a Football!" campaign in our country will become a good tradition. Undoubtedly, such large-scale events will practically contribute to the promotion of physical culture and sports, and the popularisation of a healthy lifestyle among the younger generation.
