10 July, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. The floral programme for the XXI International Arts Festival "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" has been finalised, the festival directorate informed a BELTA correspondent. No "Slavianski Bazaar" is complete without beautiful bouquets. They are presented as a token of gratitude to artists, handed over to officials and winners of performer contests, and used to decorate artists' dressing rooms. To ensure that every bouquet finds its recipient and is to their liking, a floral accompaniment programme is compiled. This programme specifies who, where, when, and which bouquet should be presented. For example, the accompaniment programme stipulates whether it should be a male or female bouquet, official or fantasy-style. If a floral arrangement is ordered, its size, shape, and colour are described. Around one hundred floral arrangements, bouquets, and baskets are being prepared for this year's festival. For the second year running, the festival's partner is the municipal enterprise "Vitebsk Zelenstroy," which, in addition to landscaping the regional centre, is involved in growing and selling flowers. The creation of bouquets is entrusted to certified florists with international certificates. Several thousand roses, lilies, chrysanthemums, alstroemerias, and other flowers will be used for the arrangements. For example, the creation of a floral basket, which is typically presented to artists after official concerts, alone requires 100-150 roses. -0-
