Crop harvesting is one of the most crucial stages of agricultural work. As we were informed by the Department of State Automobile Inspectorate of Lepel District Department of Internal Affairs, a working group has been established within the district police department, comprising employees from various units, for this purpose.
The traffic police officers, in turn, ensure road traffic safety. It is not uncommon for agricultural organizations' machinery to be operated without passing state technical inspection, with faulty lighting devices, etc. Although the heads of agro-industrial complex enterprises are aware that a fine ranging from 4 to 6 base units is stipulated for releasing a vehicle into operation that has malfunctions which prohibit its operation, or has not passed technical inspection and the procedure for issuing a permit for its participation in road traffic. Furthermore, attention is paid to drivers and machine operators undergoing daily pre-trip inspections. Violations in this case entail administrative responsibility. The first offense will incur a fine from 8 to 45 base units, the second – from 15 to 50.
Raids are conducted daily. Practice shows that, thanks to daily monitoring, the number of labor discipline violations, including being at the workplace in a state of alcoholic intoxication, instances of petty theft, illegal handling of petroleum liquid fuel, and violations of grain transportation rules, significantly decreases.
