To prevent fires during the harvesting campaign, employees of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations are continuously conducting raid inspections at agricultural facilities, sites for harvesting, processing, and storage of grain crops, and on grain harvesting machinery.
Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations conduct daily preventive raids. Primarily, fields, agricultural machinery, and mechanical yards are visited, followed by grain drying complexes and crop storage sites. Special attention is paid to the provision of primary firefighting equipment for grain harvesting combines and grain drying complexes. During these raids, rescuers also conduct fire safety briefings for employees of agricultural enterprises, provide examples of fires at sites for harvesting, processing, and storage of grain crops, and explain in detail the causes of their occurrence.
Following the work carried out, it can be concluded that most violations are of a regulatory nature and can be rectified without significant financial investment. These include prohibiting smoking outside designated areas, adhering to instructions on the storage of materials, fully equipping buildings, territories, and machinery with primary firefighting equipment, and ensuring the presence of stands with fire safety information.
These measures will continue until the completion of the harvesting campaign.
