In the Lepel district, there are 57 military burial sites. Of these, 2 are military cemeteries, 23 are mass graves, 26 are individual graves of Soviet soldiers who fought against the occupiers during the Great Patriotic War, and 6 are burials of civilians who fell victim to fascist terror.
By May 9th, it is planned to tidy up all military burial sites.
Work collectives of organisations and enterprises in the town and district, educational and social institutions actively participate in this work annually, with each military burial site having its assigned custodians.
We call upon all concerned citizens to take part in these events.
